Creative Minds at Work
Applied Learning or Fine Arts strives to provide students with opportunities in engaging activities that will generate interest, spark passion, increase application of skills and knowledge, and facilitate communities that cultivate productive, civically-minded members of society. Applied Learning for elementary students focuses on six areas: Civic Engagement, Music & Performing Arts, Physical Education, STEM & Computer Science, and Visual Arts.

When students come to Fine Arts they are stepping into a place where they learn about world cultures, famous artists, and how to create all different types of art! For the lower grades, most projects are based on storybooks.

In Media our students check out books by using an online database. They are trained how to locate the books they want to read.
